| Health and Safety is taken very seriously. All employers and employees are covered by the Health |

| and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASAWA). This places certain duties on the employer, which must be |
|
| complied with by law to protect you from unnecessary harm. |

fully recognises its full responsibility for safeguarding. Our policy
applies to all staff and students working within the college
environment. |

| Current Health and Safety Provisions |
|
- Health and safety policy is issued to all employees and learners at induction.
- Headjogs' salons are
compliant
with COSCHH regulations (1994) on hazardous substances.
- Complant with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Covering installation,
maintenance
and use of
electrical
systems.
- Compliant with The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous
Occurrences
Regulations 1995.
- Each salon is supplied with a first aid kit and eye bath.
- Headjogs supplies all protective equipment required. (e.g. Protective gloves and eye wear when mixing strong bleaches/ dyes).
- Headjogs provide a good working environment by ensuring
adequate
ventilation, lighting, temperature, and cleanliness.
- Our salons also provide sanitary and washing facilities, drinking water, and staff area
including
clothes storage and eating facilities.
